Who should attend: Women interested in leadership roles and increasing the participation of women in the sugar industry.

What’s it about: The workshop will explore practical ways to engage with and support the role of women in the future development of the industry. It will explore key areas of leadership through:

· Leading and managing change

· Emotional intelligence and decision-making

· Balancing individual, family and business priorities

· Embracing new technologies and innovation

· Opportunities to influence change within the local community

· Opportunities to influence change within the industry

Keynote speaker: 2008 Queensland Young Business Woman of the Year Olivia Maragna is the co-founder and General Manager of Aspire Retire and also part of a cane farming family business and CANEGROWERS member from Maryborough.

Bookings: FREE to attend however LIMITED seating of 30 participants per workshop. Registration opens on the 15th June. Subsidies for child care and travel costs will be available.
