2010 Premier's ClimateSmart Sustainability Awards:Nominations are open for the 2010 Premier's ClimateSmart Sustainability Awards to showcase the work of Queensland business, industry, schools and community organisations. Applications are open to businesses, schools, individuals, community, households, not-for-profit organisations and local government.

The SRDC Innovation Award:The search for the top innovators in the Australian sugarcane industry is on again. Nominations are now open for the SRDC Innovation Awards - the sugarcane industry’s premier awards to recognise research innovation and innovative thinkers. Sunbeam Future Farmer fund:

The fund will provide job opportunities for the next generation of Australian farmers and help stem the flow of rural youth to the city. It has been developed in conjunction with Rural Skills Australia to give young Australians a start on the land and enable them to develop their practical skills.

NFF Innovation in Agriculture Awards: The National Farmers’ Federation (NFF) is calling for nominations under its second annual national Innovation in Agriculture Awards, recognising and encouraging excellence in modern farming.

The NFF established the Awards in 2009 and cover three categories: Sustainability; Value Adding; and New Technology.

2011 Nuffield Scholarship: Primary producers with a passion for the future of their industry are urged to apply for a prestigious Nuffield Australia Farming Scholarship to investigate an issue they believe is crucial to improving agricultural performance and profitability.

Applications are now open for scholarships in 2011 and will close on 30 June, 2010. Winners will be announced in October 2010.
