The scheme provides for a 50% rebate to a maximum of $30,000 per farm or per ABN, (pre-GST) of costs associated with improving the efficiency of on farm overhead irrigation systems.
The closing date for applications is Thursday, 31 May 2012.

The $200 million Reef Rescue Plan is a proactive 5-year program by the Australian Government started in 2008. Part of this package includes $146 million in water quality grants for the adoption of improved land management practices in agricultural commodities, including sugarcane.

Nominations are now open for the SRDC Innovation Awards - the sugarcane industry’s premier awards to recognise research innovation and innovative thinkers. Nuffield Scholarship: Primary producers with a passion for the future of their industry are urged to apply for a prestigious Nuffield Australia Farming Scholarship to investigate an issue they believe is crucial to improving agricultural performance and profitability.
Applications close on 30 June. Winners will be announced in October.
