Steve Greenwood is the Chief Executive Officer for CANEGROWERS. Steve was appointed to the peak group representing Australian sugarcane growers on 30 August 2010.

Previous to this he headed up the Queensland division of the Property Council of Australia (PCA) where he represented the state’s largest property investment companies, leading the charge in advocacy, lobbying and business development with a strong overarching emphasis on public affairs.

Prior to this he was with the Local Government Association of Queensland (LGAQ), where he had worked in policy, research, planning, infrastructure and environment.

Steve travels extensively in the interests of the sugar industry and is active in trade, marketing and management forums, both nationally and internationally.

He represents CANEGROWERS on a range of associated committees. He is a Director of CANEGROWERS’ commercial subsidiaries – Financial Services and Superannuation companies. He is also a Director of Ravensdown Fertiliser Australia Limited.

Steve Greenwood (44) holds a Masters in Urban and Regional Planning and Diploma in Education with the University of Queensland (UQ), and a Bachelor of Science with Griffith University.

He is married with two daughters and one son.

Originally from far north Queensland, he sees a bright future for what he describes as one of Queensland’s most iconic agricultural sectors.
