Michael Pisano is the Chairman of CANEGROWERS Herbert River and represents the district on the CANEGROWERS Queensland Policy Council. He is a Director on the QCGO board and the Chairman of the CANEGROWERS Farm Inputs Policy Committee.

Michael is the owner operator of two family farms suppling Herbert River mills close to the town of Ingham.

He was first elected to the Macknade Mill Suppliers Committee in 1989 and has served on the Lower Herbert Water Management Authority.

Michael holds a Diploma of Agriculture (Rural Business Management) and was the first grower to become accredited in the core modules of the industry’s best management practice program, Smartcane BMP.
