Stephen Calcagno is the Chairman of CANEGROWERS Cairns Region and represents the Cairns district on the CANEGROWERS Queensland Policy Council. He is a Director on the QCGO board and a member of the CANEGROWERS Farm Inputs Policy Committee.

Stephen is a fourth generation cane farmer, farming 400 hectares of Smartcane BMP accredited cane in the Babinda/Bellenden Ker district.

Stephen's representative career began with his election to the former Babinda Mill Suppliers Committee in 2004. He has served on many local committees, advisory boards and assessment panels and is currently the Chairman of the Sugar Research Australia Industry Adoption Committee.
