Sugar Cubed 2025 program
Sunday 27 April - Welcome and registration - 6:00pm - 8:00pm
Come along and register, grab your name tag and Sugar Cubed goodies, while enjoying welcome drinks and networking at Bar Gusto - corner of Gregory Terrace and King Street, in the podium of Rydges Fortitude Valley.
Monday 28 April - Field trip - 07:30am - 4:30pm
Buses will departure Rydges Fortitude Valley at 07:30 sharp and will return by 16:30.
- Visit to Sugar Research Australia IRIS laboratories
- Visit to University of Queensland field trial site for research and agtech
- Visit to Brimblecombe farm at Forest Hill to discuss cotton and other horticultural farming practices
- Lunch is at UQ fields with a morning and afternoon tea snack pack provided for the bus
Field trip WHS requirements
- Closed-in footwear must be worn! Long-sleeved pants are preferred, and a polo shirt is ok - please be sun safe with sunscreen and a hat
Monday 28 April - Gala dinner - 6:00pm - 9:00pm
Held at Waters Edge (Portside at Hamilton Wharf). Dress code is semi-formal.
Buses will leave Rydges Fortitude Valley from 5:30pm for a 6:00pm start and returning to Rydges from 9:00pm. If you miss the bus, you will need to make your own way to the function.
