CANEGROWERS Burdekin is looking for an experienced, community-minded leader to help shape the future of one of Australia’s most important agricultural regions.
Based in Ayr and reporting to an elected grower Board, the District Manager leads a dedicated local team and oversees strategy, advocacy, member services, governance and business operations. It is a varied and influential role, with the opportunity to build strong relationships, represent local growers and deliver practical outcomes on the issues that matter to them.
We are looking for a confident senior leader who can work effectively with a Board, bring people together, manage competing priorities and communicate across industry, government and the wider community. Experience in agriculture, regional industries or a member-based organisation would be highly regarded.
The role also offers the chance to build a rewarding career in the Burdekin – a welcoming North Queensland community just an hour south of Townsville, with outstanding fishing, boating and outdoor recreation on the doorstep.
