Herbert River grower Steven Marbelli is a genuine quiet achiever, his consistent leadership and deep commitment for his community have made him one of the respected figures in Queensland's sugarcane industry. His roots run deep: he's a third-generation grower, the grandson of Italian migrants who settled at Abergowrie in the late 1920s. Today Steven manages over 500 hectares of sugarcane in the Herbert River district, a mix of family-owned and leased land, including the original farm his grandparents worked.
